Streetprint and Streetbond

StreetPrint originates from Canada and is licenced in over 42 countries throughtout the world.  StreetPrint is the most innovative decorative paving system developed in the last thirty years.  It provides customers the beauty of hand-placed decorative products, but also adds the benefits of a continuous surface, which inhibits both weed growth and shifting problems associated with vehicle movements.

The two part process involves the patterning of the asphalt surface onto "paver" type patterns and then followed by the application of a hard wearing cement modified poylmer enhanced coating, which beautifies and protects the surface.

Streetprint uses asphalt as its base.  Asphalt is a flexible surface that is more likely to accept shifting due to weather or traffic extremes and can resist cracking commonly associated with other paving systems.
StreetPrint coatings, unlike other similar products, use polymer-based pigments with a much higher UV stability.  This in turn provides a continuous, flexible, skid resistant surface impervious to water penetrations, diesel, oil and chemical spills.

StreetPrint's special surfacing system, StreetBond, fortifies the surface and, unique to StreetPrint, offers the benefit that it is easy and cost effective to renew in the future, if required.

StreetPrint is available in a wide range of patterns, designs and logos, together with a variety of colours and colour matching, if necessary.  We are sure you will find StreetPrint to be the most durable, problem free decorative asphalt systems on the market.

Brick N Pave is Australia's largest installer of StreetPrint, and now owns licences in Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland.
We are currently installing in excess of 50,000 square metres per year and growing fast.
Our main market at present is commercial roadways and streetscapes, working for developers, builders and municipal councils.  The product is so adaptable it can be placed wherever there is asphalt.  We can even use our coatings on concrete.

How it works

StreetPrint application - Step 1Streetprint application - Step 2StreetPrint application - Step 3
1. Asphalt is re-heated using specialist infrared heating technology.  Flexible steel templates are imprinted into the heated asphat.

2. After imprinting, the asphalt is fortified, coloured, sealed and protected using the StreetBond surfacing system.

3. The StreetBond is broomed and rolled into the surface ensuring even distribution and a long-lasting coloured finish.

Who created StreetPrint?

A landscaper stumbled across this concept.  He had been running a decorative concrete crew for a residential developer, who found the decorative concrete to be slow and costly, so he was looking for an alternative.  The foreman of this decorative-concrete crew recalled that his uncle, an asphalt contractor, when paving a driveway, had run over a spanner that had fallen off the roller, leaving a perfect impression of that spanner in the asphalt.  So this fellow thought: If you can press a spanner into the asphalt while it's hot, why not a pattern in the shape of brick?  And that's how StreetPrint was born.

Why choose StreetPrint?

StreetPrint is:

StreetPrint provides and extremely fast installation process and rapid curing times.  This allows for reduced disruption times in traffic areas and dramatically cuts construction time and costs.

StreetPrint is eleven times more flexible than asphalt; therefore it won't crack and deteriorate the asphalt like other coating systems.

StreetPrint adheres to asphalt so completely, you can even use a high pressure cleaner (up to 2000 psi) for periodic cleaning, without risk.

StreetPrint Features and Benefits

There are several important features which have resulted in StreetPrint's worldwide success.  The following are some of the features and benefits of StreetPrint:

Flexible Pavement
StreetPrint is a flexible pavement which makes it resistant to cracking and eliminates the need for expansion joints, compared with imprinted concrete.

Continuous Surface
StreetPtrint is a continuous, waterproof surface which resists weed growth and inhibits the migration of water to the base, thereby reducing the possibility of base failures.  StreetBond also reduces the effects of weathering from water, freeze-thaw cycles and sun (UV exposure.)

Easy Maintenance
StreetPtrint is easily repairable and has low maintenance costs.

Salt Resistance
StreetPrint does not react to salt or salt air in coastal climates.

Quick Installation
StreetPrint can be installed very quickly (up to 10 times faster than convential bricks or pavers).  After final coatings are applied the average curing time is approximately 4 hours (weather dependant), which results in less disruption to traffic.

Elaborate Decorative Patterns
StreetPrint makes it practical to created embossed artwork in the surface.  This can be done quickly and easily and creates a whole new opportunity for decorative pavement designs.

What maintenance is required?
Periodic cleaning and removal of foreign contaminants is desirable to reduce wear.  Recoating may eventually be required to maintain a specific look.

Can the surface colour be changed?
Yes.  Recolouring is quick and inexpensive.

Can StreetPrint be used as an overlay to existing asphalt?
StreetPrint can be placed on any surface which would normally accept a conventional asphalt overlay.
